What you need for The Amazing Race depends completely on the activities that you plan on using, so what you should to decide first is what activities you want to include in that leg of the race.

Your activities can be anything that you want your students to review or practice.  They can cover all three modes of communication and all 5 Cs of ACTFL.  The activities could be used at the end of a unit for review, as part of a particular unit (travel for example), as a final end-of-year review, etc.

The Amazing Race can be done with the help of other teachers in the school or without depending on how you choose to do it and the availability of volunteers.
